Compulsory for bags, helmets, headsets and bulky items. Some exhibits are exempt.

Permitted without flash. Some exhibits photograph themselves.
Accessibility
Every room can be visited by keyboard. So can the way out, via the shop.

    The GLiTCH Museum has moved to a new address: glitchmuseum.org. The move took place overnight.

    The Refectory has reopened. The Last Supper is on view again, in fifteen-minute slots. The seat in the middle has been checked.

The museum

The GLiTCH Museum preserves, studies and updates masterpieces of ancient and classical sculpture. Like every great museum, it has house rules, a night warden, a lost property office and a shop. All it lacks is walls.

‘We’ve always portrayed our gods and our great figures at their very best: the noble gesture, the faraway gaze, the flawless marble. These statues say less about who they were than about who we wanted to be.’

    Works you have not yet seen in the galleries remain under dust sheets.

  • Lost property

    Items found in the galleries are kept for three months, then added to the collection.

  • Night log

    Kept by the night warden. Deposited in the archives and open to public inspection.

    Save the heritage of humanity. Update it. Make it tangible again.
